Cloisonné is the ancient art of applying
enamel and colour to the surface of a copper or bronze object, the object is then
fired to become a bright and colourful work of art.
The Chinese made
the process of cloisonné a distinctive art form, and defined the
process further, mastering the skill of
manufacturing enamel products. The general method for making
cloisonné urns involves soldering brass wires to the surface of
a copper urn to form a pattern then coloured enamels are used to
fill the pattern.
Cloisonné Cremation Urns
are hand crafted, each cloisonné urn
is a custom piece involving a highly detailed process. The process goes through several intricate
steps and procedures. The end result in an urn that is gilded and polished to a bright and beautiful finish.
